The League carried out the Great Winter Ball “Silver Angel” for our friends and partners in the fashionable hotels Astoria and Anglettere in Saint-Petersburg…
In November 2008 International Youth Diplomacy League and international cultural foundation MASTER CLASS revived a brilliant tradition and carried out Great Winter Ball “Silver Angel” for their friends and partners. From 7th till 9th of November fashionable hotels of Saint-Petersburg Astoria and Angleterre welcomed guests of the Ball, politicians and businessmen from Russia and foreign countries (Italy, France, Great Britain etc.) and young leaders, former participants of the international projects of the League. There was established a prize-award “Silver Angel” on the Ball and it was presented to the Alumni of the G8 Youth Summit 2006 Timofey Kunitsky for the contribution to the development of public diplomacy. First day it was an oyster party with particular menu made specially for this evening. Second day included gala-dinner with auction of pictures of Saint-Petersburgs’ painters and the Ball itself. Visitors enjoyed opera and ballet performances of Mariinsky theatre stars, danced waltz and mazurka to the accompaniment of the governor’s orchestra, the conductor Timur Gorkovenko. The ball participants enjoyed the fashion show, called “Silver Angel”, specifically designed for the Ball by Claudia Smirnova and continued the evening in the cigar room with the brilliant choices of cigars, cognacs and whisky.
В ноябре 2008 года Лига международной молодежной дипломатии и Фонд поддержки культуры и искусств МАСТЕР КЛАСС возродили яркую традицию и организовали для своих друзей и партнеров Большой зимний бал «Серебряный Ангел». С 7 по 9 Ноября фешенебельные отели Санкт‑Петербурга «Астория» и «Арглетер» распахнули свои двери для гостей бала, среди которых были признанные и успешные политики и бизнесмены как из России, так и из за рубежа (Италия, Франция, Великобритания и т.д.) и молодые лидеры, бывшие участники крупных международных проектов Лиги. Организаторами была учреждена премия «Серебряный Ангел» и впервые вручена на балу выпускнику Молодежного Саммита Большой Восьмерки 2006 года Тимофею Куницкому, за вклад в развитие общественной дипломатии. Первый день был ознаменован устричной вечеринкой с необычным меню, составленным специально для этого вечера. Второй день включал в себя гала-ужин с аукционом картин петербургских художников и собственно сам бал. Гости смогли насладиться оперными и балетными выступлениями звезд Мариинского театра, танцевать вальс и мазурку под аккомпанемент губернаторского оркестра под руководством Тимура Горковенко и оценить модную коллекцию Клавдии Смирновой под названием «Серебряный Ангел», созданную специально для этого вечера. Потом гости продолжили вечер в сигарной комнате с прекрасным выбором лучших сигар, коньяков и виски.
